More than a Chinese Restaurant in Clarksville, TN

Alice first acquired her love of food from her mother and aunt. Growing up in a family where the prominence on cooking and culture were such an inspiration-it was always her dream to operate a full oriental service restaurant with that stood out among the other Chinese buffets.

In 1997, Alice and Eddie Chan opened their original location of Hong Kong Wok, in Clarksville, Tennessee. At first a take out restaurant, it quickly grew into a well-loved bistro by the locals. In 2006, the Chan’s sought an opportunity to relocate and grow their restaurant. They remodeled the new building, located at 2278 Madison Street, Clarksville, TN 37043, and later in 2010 they finally achieved their dream of a full service eatery.

Hong Kong Wok & Bistro has a fusion and Asian cooking technique that provides customers with the complete practice of dining which is appreciated in the Chinese culture. Alice considers making Chinese food, an art. She uses distinct sauces for each cuisine, along with fresh vegetables and meats to make certain that each dish is unique. This philosophy for food unites her inspiration of east meets west, “combining what Westerners like with the Eastern culture.”

The Chan’s have enjoyed working in the restaurant industry and will continue to introduce exotic fare to local residents and visitors.

“Chinese food is everywhere, people think it is inexpensive and not everyone can make it good. But we take the time to prepare, cook and present the food that makes the customer enjoy what they are eating.”
